Teaching Modules
As an educator, Prashant builds open and rigorous spaces grounded in the belief that “Creation begins with play.” His pedagogy views play not as lightness, but as a serious method of inquiry, a way to access curiosity, risk, attentiveness, and embodied intelligence
Breaking Points
Breaking Points Movement Practice & Research Breaking Points is a two-part movement module that combines physical training with improvisational research. The practice develops physical efficiency, expanded movement vocabulary, and a heightened awareness of how bodies move, sense, and relate within space. Part 1 : Physical Training Breaking Points is a movement practice designed to expand physical vocabulary and refine movement efficiency. It challenges habitual patterns through structured tasks and exploratory methods, encouraging adaptability and transformation. By working with principles of momentum, spirals, velocity, groundedness, and the redirection of force, participants develop a deeper understanding of weight shifts, pathways of energy, and spatial awareness. This practice opens new movement possibilities, enhancing fluidity, responsiveness, and dynamic physical expression. Part 2: Improvisation & Research This workshop invites dancers and movement artists to explore how we sense, respond, and adapt to the shifting dynamics of movement, space, and others. The practice focuses on how attention and perception influence the way we move and relate within a shared environment. Through structured improvisations, spatial awareness exercises, and movement tasks, participants investigate how bodies behave in relation—how we sense proximity, share space, follow, lead, resist, or support one another. Working in solos, duets, and group constellations, dancers explore how individual impulses and collective dynamics shape evolving movement compositions. The research is guided by questions such as: • How does movement emerge from direct experience rather than predetermined forms? • How do individual and collective choices shape dynamic, evolving compositions? • How does the body adapt to space, momentum, and relational forces? • How do we sense and respond to the collective energy of a group while improvising? Play becomes an important lens in this process, not as entertainment, but as a state of alertness, curiosity, and risk through which new possibilities can emerge.
Aattam Idam
-a place for playing
AATTAM IDAM is a Dance and Movement Workshop centred on the concept of "Play"
This workshop is carefully crafted to provide a secure and inspiring environment for participants of all ages and backgrounds to freely explore movement, connect with others, and express themselves through dance and movement.
At AATTAM IDAM, we create an open, joyful space where participants engage in fun, experimental activities to break free of habits and express themselves in new ways. We encourage risk-taking, spontaneity, and finding joy in the process, fostering collaboration and creating lasting impressions.
"Through this playful approach, you'll develop your physical and communication abilities while gaining a deeper understanding of how movement can be a powerful tool for connection and expression.
